STORAGE AND HANDLING During handling, protective clothing and NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory equipment should be worn. Dust control systems should be used throughout the handling areas. Sweeping should be avoided; a vacuum cleaner should be used to handle spillage. Food and cigarettes should not be taken into work areas. Hands and faces should be washed before smoking, eating, or drinking. All plant personnel should shower and change clothes before leaving the plant. Work clothes should be washed frequently. Handling and storage should be engineered to minimize spillage. Additionally, antimony oxide should not be stored near an acid, because the mixing of antimony oxide with an acid will generate stibine gas (HSb), a deadly poison. An MSDS sheet is available upon request.
